ZeezenderDag 2026 foto's : Op maandag 31 augustus organiseerde Museum RockArt de jaarlijkse Zeezender Dag. Speciale gasten waren deze dag Wim de Groot (Mi Amigo), Leo Weijers (Veronica), Look Boden (Dolfijn/227) en Ronald Bakker (Delmare). Rene van den Abeelen overhandigde het 1e exemplaar van zijn prachtige model van de Mi Amigo aan Jaap Schut. Er waren een groot aantal gasten uit België waar onder Mike Moorkens (Maurice Bokkebroek) en Walter Galle. Het was een drukke en mooie dag in RockArt mede dankzij het topteam van het museum.

Op 31 Augustus 1974 ratificeerde Nederland het Verdrag van Straatsburg (in de volksmond bekend als anti-piratenwet) Radio Veronica  Radio Noordzee 

Zeezenders in augustus 1974 : Radio KL85 heeft in de week van 29 augustus 55 uur aan unieke en historische programma’s van de voormalige zeezenders. Met o.a. programma’s uit de laatste week van Radio Veronica, Radio Noordzee en Radio Atlantis in augustus 1974. Maar ook programma’s van Radio Caroline en Radio Mi Amigo uit augustus 1974. Met o.a. het nooit uitgezonden laatste Mi Amigo programma van Paul Severs en Tony Allan op Radio Caroline. Verder een tour over de Mebo II met Bob Noakes en Robin Banks en de laatste 5 uur van Mi Amigo 50.

Italy: Caroline DJs Tell the True Story of Riviera Radio Riviera Radio is the English-language station covering the French Riviera, “From San Remo to Saint-Tropez.” It currently broadcasts on 106.5 FM from Mont Agel, but in the late 1990s it broadcast on the former RMC Radio Monte Carlo frequency of 702 kHz. After being acquired by Global Radio, it changed its website and stated that the station “started as an initiative by Princess Grace to serve the English-speaking community along the French Riviera.” But this is far from the truth: Riviera Radio, originally known as  Radio Sovereign , was started by a group of pirate DJs, including some who had previously worked for Radio Caroline. 192TV herdenkt Veronica : Aanstaande maandag 31 augustus is het 52 jaar geleden dat de zeezender Radio Veronica haar uitzendingen op 31 augustus 1974 moest staken. Om dat te herdenken herhaalt 192TV een gedeelte van het programma dat het station uitzond op 31 augustus 2024. Dit programma is aanstaande maandag te zien van 13:00 tot 18:00 uur. 192TV zendt sinds 2011 24/7 de beste clips uit van de jaren 60 t/m 80 in een vormgeving van de voormalige zeezender Radio Veronica. 192TV is op vrijwel alle kabelnetten in Nederland en online te ontvangen.
