Radio North raided : The long-running Irish station Radio North has been taken off the air after being raided by the Irish telecommunication authorities (Comreg). The station, based in County Donegal in North West Ireland, broadcast on 846 kHz and has been on air for 40 years. But on Thursday Comreg officials raided the station and, according to reports, took everything.  Another long-running station, Radio Star Country , which used 981 kHz, went off air as a precaution. Recently there have been a number of Irish pirates appearing on medium wave. But many will no doubt pause activities after this raid which has sent shockwaves through the free radio community. Judge suspends Colombia’s aerial fumigation pilot : A Putumayo from the southern Putumayo province suspended the government’s announced resumption of the aerial spraying of coca, ordering information that would allow “a sufficiently informed decision on the merits.” Earlier this week, the National Narcotics Council (CNE) ordered the National Police to restart the aerial fumigation of coca, the base ingredient for cocaine, “as a controlled, limited, temporary, and evaluable experimental phase, the implementation of a pilot plan for the eradication of illicit crops through aerial spraying using a manned aircraft and the formulated product Glufosinate Ammonium 200 SL.” The National Police subsequently said that the 10km2 pilot area was located in Putumayo, a province inside the Amazon forest. These announcements triggered a local foundation to sue the administration, claiming that the plans to do a pilot were in violation of the 2015 ban on aerial fumigation and threatene...

Rene van den Abeelen overhandigde het 1e exemplaar van zijn prachtige model van de Mi Amigo aan Jaap Schut. Er waren een groot aantal gasten uit België waar onder Mike Moorkens (Maurice Bokkebroek) en Walter Galle. Het was een drukke en mooie dag in RockArt mede dankzij het topteam van het museum.
