Changes in the weekend at Slam:

At Slam, changes will be made to the programming as of this weekend. Martijn La Grouw presents a part of the MixMarathon on Friday, Dimitris Kops can also be heard on Sunday afternoon and Patrick Wolda gets a new Sunday evening program.

Veranderingen in het weekend bij Slam La Grouw already presents the morning show at Slam from Monday to Thursday and he continues to do so.

In addition, until recently he could be heard on sister station 100% NL during the weekend and Friday was his only day off.

Now that La Grouw has stopped at 100% NL, he will present the Mixmarathon on Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Slam. He thus takes over from Dimitris Kops who can also be heard on Sunday afternoons from this weekend between 2 pm and 6 pm. Kops can therefore be heard on the station five afternoons a week.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Slam Talent Wouter van Stralen crawls behind the buttons and takes over the hours from Patrick Wolda.   He will present a new Sunday evening program between 9 p.m. and midnight, together with Max Bolhuis. Previously, these hours were non-stop/

Slam has adjusted the programming and expects to invest on all fronts, a spokeswoman told RadioWereld.NL.

" We give the weekend a boost by adding experience (Dimitris) and giving talent even more of a chance. In addition, Max Bolhuis has been added to the talent team.  At midnight on August 14th 1967 the British Marine etc. Broadcasting (Offences) Act became law. This forced the closure of Britain's offshore radio stations. With the exception of Radio Caroline they all closed, the most memorable being Radio London 266 known as Big L, they closed at 3pm on this day. Radio Caroline continued with a stirring speech at midnight but in 1968 starved of funds from advertising their ships were towed away to the Netherlands, not to return until the 1970's.

Skyport Radio 50th Anniversary Broadcast

Well we made it with the help of our friends at Ten Sixtyfive Overdrive, Skyport Radio made the first full RF broadcast since the end of 1982, on 106.5MHz in the North West of England, Mark King presented several hours of old and some new music to commemorate our first broadcast made on 25th December 1971 which was on 7405KHz in the 41 metre band. Our anniversary broadcast was live from 1600-2100 GMT on 106.5MHz with a power of 30W covering Liverpool, Chester, Crewe and probably further afield.  From 1971-1982 Skyport Radio carried on almost weekly broadcasts on the 48 and 41 metre bands with then many thousands of listeners across Europe.  We are following this up with further transmissions with our new DJ's; Lord Dialup and Winkel. Lord Dialup plays a mixture of his own electronic compositions and experimental electronic music, Winkel will play the latest Techno from the new centre of techno music Medellín, which has hosted many Techno festivals in the past year and has many more
