Radio pirate receives thousands of euros for new equipment:

Loyal radio listeners from Overijssel have started a crowdfunding for the illegal radio station Familieteam from Westerhaar. This radio station was silenced last Tuesday by the Telecom Agency. For the people behind the radio station, it's a big noose. They had just bought a new cell tower. The damage to the pirate is more than 37,000 euros.

Thousands of euros have already been raised in an attempt to get the illegal channel back on the air as soon as possible.

At the moment, the counter of the crowdfunding campaign stands at 7,295.00 euros. But they still need 30,000 euros.

With the money, the illegal radio station Familieteam from Westerhaar can buy new equipment, including a new mast, transmitters and a generator. They just had a new cell tower because the old one needed to be replaced. And they had only used the new one once. [RadioWereld.NL]
