UK government to test emergency alert system on 23rd April, unless you acknowledge you will not able to use your cell, so if you are in the UK I suggest disabling the function in Settings.

Apart from the privacy concerns, i.e. you do not know what information is sent when you acknowledge the alert; when the government deems it has a sufficient percentage of the population responding, they will turn off existing alert platforms on Long and Medium Wave, these being receive only preserve your privacy and location data.
